1.3 Use of App Icons from Flaticon:
In the JCPSC Alumni Association App, we utilize icons that are sourced from Flaticon, a platform that offers a wide range of icons for application developers. These icons are used to enhance the visual experience of the App and provide an intuitive interface to our users. Please be aware that the use of icons from Flaticon is subject to the terms and conditions and privacy policy of Flaticon. 2.1 Blogger API:
The App uses the Blogger API to fetch and display relevant content and blog posts related to the Alumni Association. Please be aware that any information displayed through the Blogger API will be subject to the privacy policy of Blogger, and we encourage you to review their policies.
2.2 Firebase:
We use Firebase to store and manage certain user data securely. Firebase is a secure and widely used platform that helps us ensure your data is protected. We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard your data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
2.3 OneSignal for Notifications:
The App utilizes OneSignal to send push notifications to keep you informed about important updates, events, and notices from the Alumni Association. Your device's unique identifier may be used to send notifications, but no personal information is shared with OneSignal.
2.4 Barcode Scanning Libraries (ZXing, ZXing Android Embedded):
Our mobile application utilizes barcode scanning libraries, including ZXing and ZXing Android Embedded, to provide barcode scanning functionality. These libraries are used solely for the purpose of enabling users to scan barcodes and QR codes within the app.
When you use the barcode scanning feature, the libraries may access your device's camera to capture images for processing. These images are used exclusively for the purpose of barcode recognition and are not stored or transmitted to our servers.
Barcode data obtained through scanning is processed locally within the app and is not shared with third parties unless explicitly required for the functionality of the app (e.g., retrieving product information from a remote server based on scanned barcode data).
We do not collect or store any personally identifiable information from the barcode scanning process. However, please be aware that the content of scanned barcodes, such as product information or web links, may be used as part of the app's functionality.
While using the barcode scanning feature, your device's camera and storage permissions may be required. These permissions are solely used to facilitate barcode scanning and save scanned data, if applicable, within the app.
Third-Party Disclosure:
We may share some data, including but not limited to location information and crash logs, with third-party companies or organizations. This data sharing is done to enhance the functionality and performance of the App. These third parties are subject to their own privacy policies.
